High Sierra - Print
One of the things I remember most about growing up in Tahoe, are the gigantic pine cones... they're everywhere. Our dog Moses used to devour them like a chew toy despite the super sharp spikes... There are also tons of Snow Plants in the Sierras. They are these giant foot-tall red flowers that grow off of fungus and pine tree roots beneath the surface. I remember the first time I came across one, it totally freaked me out. This year I'll be vending at the High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA... which is a small town about 2 hours from Tahoe. In high school we used to have soccer tournaments out there. The area is amazingly beautiful with the Sierra Buttes towering above some seriously forested terrain. I'm excited to return to Tahoe as it's been a few years. I also teamed up with Conscious Alliance to create a poster for this year's festival with this image...
