I have been fortunate to come across a couple of wild moose in my day. Once while snowboarding in the backcountry outside of Jackson, WY, and again in the Indian Peaks Wilderness above Nederland, CO. Both encounters were completely unexpected, and super alarming. There really is no way to prepare for how it feels to come around a corner and be standing face to face with a 10 ft. tall animal with massive antlers. Your heart just drops into the pit of your stomach... This particular moose was spotted on the very same day that I was inspired to draw The River Dance piece. Luckily, he ran the other direction...
