I started drawing this piece on December 21st... the winter solstice, and the longest night of the year. This year, it happened to be a full-moon. I have also always been intrigued by owls, they are so mysterious and elusive. Living in a relatively secluded spot in the mountains, I have been lucky enough to see a couple this winter.
