Angel Fish

After exploring the depths with the whales, I thought it would nice to come back up closer to the surface for the next piece. While I loved the deep blues that developed with the whales, I found myself gravitating towards something with a more dynamic palette. I can’t think of a much more colorful reef-dweller than the Angel Fish! There are dozens of types of angel fish in all kinds of crazy colors, my favorite of which has to be the Queen. The blues and yellows just seem to radiate energy… coupled with the distinctive circular “crown” on their foreheads - they are quite magnificent to behold!

This was a particularly fun piece to work on. I really enjoyed playing with some vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Trying to do justice to one of nature’s true gems… Nothing terribly serious, just some super-psychedelic-aquatic-royalty cruising through some neon coral 🤪
